KPOT Deptford Korean BBQ & Hot Pot Opens Monday Sept 8th

Deptford’s all new KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot “All-You-Can-Eat” restaurant opens Monday Sept 8^th at Noon!

Located in the Court at Deptford on Almonesson Road (Hobby Lobby, Burlington, Chuck E Cheese)… KPOT moves into the unit which used to be Pier One at the far right of the shopping center… very close to the Red Lobster restaurant.

KPOT presents a unique and growing Asian restaurant style where customers get to pick from the freshest ingredients and cook everything right at their table!

The Korean BBQ aspect features is a center hot plate on the table where you cook your fresh ingredients chosen from dozens of options including beef, chicken, fish and vegetables.

You can also try the Hot Pot which is a bowl of delicious broth set on hot plates located in the corners of the table… and you create your own special recipe hot soup!

Honestly cooking at the table with your family, friends or coworkers is the most exciting aspect of KPOT!

It becomes a fun and interactive experience that opens up conversations and laughter as everyone tries out their own cooking techniques and recipes.

And a big bonus… the cooking aspect will help keep those smartphones off and in pockets as everyone wants to try their being an “Iron Chef”

Louis is part of the KPOT Deptford Management Team. There is a small bar area at the Deptford location, but they do not have a liquor license… **BYOB**!

42Freeway first wrote about the plans for this new KPOT Deptford restaurant two years ago, and I’ve met the Deptford team of Louis and Jimmy several times in my stopping in to see how they were doing with the all-new restaurant buildout.

It’s been a long time coming, so Louis, Jimmy and the team are excited to finally get a chance to open KPOT Deptford to the also eagerly awaiting customers.

I stopped in today as they were getting ready for a private friends and family preview, and they are fully ready to be open for tomorrow at noon.

Inside the restaurant it’s a beautiful design featuring dozens of private booths with tables that feature the innovative built-in Korean BBQ and Hot Pot cooking areas… that you as the guest get to choose exactly what you want to be added into your meal.

At KPOT you’ll order your meats and vegetables that you want to cook, and your server brings the fresh ingredients out to your table.

Don’t be shy.. try experimenting because its All-You-Can-Eat!

For the cooking… Korean BBQ is completely different than what we know as American BBQ.

For the KPOT BBQ experience, the tables feature a large recessed hot plate bowl in the center, that is shared by all 4 guests to cook their choices of meats, vegetables and sauces… and where you create your own unique and delicious dish!

The Hot Pot aspect is similar but its creating a soup with the delicious KPOT recipe broth as a base. Each of the 4 corners of the table have a hot plate where the pot of broth (and your chosen ingredients) area added in.

You will find a buffet section in the back of the restaurant but that is really for fresh fruits and desserts, as well as a large variety of sauces which you can help yourself to and add to your own BBQ or Hot Pot creation.

To the left the dining area is a bar with tall bar stools… but KPOT does not have a liquor license, and the Deptford location is BYOB.

A new addition to the design of the restaurant since my last visit is they’ve added an exhaust for every table in the space to keep the space fresh and provide an awesome dining experience for customers.

Unfortunately when I stopped in today I forgot to ask they had any Specials for the Grand Opening. I do see on their Facebook Event Page they say “Stay tuned for opening day specials and exclusive offers”. I’ll try to connect with the guys on Monday.
