If wearing white after Labor Day is still a fashion no-no, then midlife women were the rule breakers on the 2026 Golden Globes red carpet. All-white looks ruled the day as the stars filed down the carpet, with nominees Amanda Seyfried and Emily Blunt rocking head-to-toe white alongside Hollywood icons like Jean Smart.
And while you might think monochrome could feel monotonous, the variety of these looks was anything but. Blunt went for a structured dress, featuring a boxy bodice and sleek skirt, while Seyfried’s gave old Hollywood romance with a sweetheart neckline and trailing scarf. Smart, who took home an acting award for her work in Hacks, gave off what Julia Roberts described as a “goddess” look, with long flowing sleeves and a sequined bodice.
And they weren’t the only ones floating down the red carpet in glowy white gowns. Check out all our favorite all-white-in-midlife looks ahead — Pamela Anderson and Claire Danes are two of our favorites!

Emily Blunt

Sleek yet structured (one of Blunt’s favorite style combos), the dress’s mock neck color, one-shoulder bodice, and silver button details made it one of the more unique looks on this year’s carpet.

Natasha Rothwell

Jean Smart
Image Credit: Jesse Grant/Penske Media Julia Roberts stopped a red carpet interview to commend on “the goddess” Jean Smart, and with the Hacks star rocking this stunning white dress, that’s an accurate label indeed. The flowing sheer sleeves, the golden bodice details, and the champagne-colored clutch accessory all came together just right for Smart, who took home her third Golden Globe award at the ceremony.

Claire Danes

Simple, sheek, and shiny, Claire Danes looked gorgeous in this Zac Posen for Gap Studio gown. The breast pocket and cuffed sleeves are subtle details you don’t often see on red carpet gowns, and her cuff-style bracelet rounds it all off.

Pamela Anderson

Amanda Seyfried
