Lincoln, Neb., Feb. 28, 2024—Omaha Fashion Week’s Spring 2024 show kicked off with the future generations of fashion showcasing nearly 200 creations. The event featured high school-age programs from around the state and students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design Program. Fashion Week took place at the Omaha Design Center and has become one of the Midwest’s largest fashion events.

“This is a great opportunity to feature the outstanding work of our 4-H designers at a regional level, in partnership with Omaha Fashion Week,” said Marie Nelson, Nebraska Extension assistant.

Omaha Fashion Week is highlighting themes of self-expression during its Spring 2024 Audacious Season. The first half of the show started with high-school-age fashion design programs from all over Nebraska, including: 4-H, Duchesne Academy, FCCLA, Kent Bellows Mentoring Program, Omaha South, Westside HS, and Bluebird Cultural Initiative. The collection included youth who sewed their garments in 2023, with 32 selected to participate in the 4-H collection.
